Wow, hearing Michelle talk about feeling excluded for not playing games was weirdly humbling. She's become such a huge inspiration for me over the course of watching challenge accepted and MK Ultra, and I've found her intimidating in an abstract, "popular girl" kind of way. To know that someone like her still has weird little things she's intimidated and embarrassed by is comforting.

This is the most underrated youtube Chanel ever. I mean, she's trained like a firefighter, a police officer, FBI, military, ballerina, model, Miss America, ice skating, and now video gaming? Oh and also being a voice actress, a nasa astronaut, a Disney princess, Black Widow, a Network TV Show host, a professionals skier, a clown... and that's not even all of them. Girl, you're amazing! Keep it up

You know what Michelle is? She's an expert at being a beginner. She picks up new skills so quickly because she's already started from scratch at so many other things she just knows how to approach learning any new skill at all by now. It's kinda neat to see. But I wonder what activities she's actually stuck with over the years.

"Are you making use of your map at all?"
"NO!!"
"Maybe that's why you're not good at navigating."

Lmao same! Playing a decent amount of (MMO)RPG games recently has definitely helped me with that though.

This was really cool. The "informal experiments" I've done are more focused on how games introduce new players to various mechanics, so it was really cool to watch you go multiple steps further and focus on what it is like to become actually proficient at a game. I'd be really curious to see how/if your skills from Fortnite affect the way you play games moving forward. Great video, and thank you for mentioning my stuff! It is definitely something I would never have expected, but it is really cool to know that the video has reached and helped so many people!

As a gamer, this video was not only hilarious but humbling. Video gaming does force a different set of skills than the average person realizes. Thank you got taking this challenge on. It was great!

Honestly gaming is such a big mental game as well. If you’re having a bad day or don’t have a good mindset you’re not likely to do as well as you normally might. I love how real you were with us Michelle, we’re so proud of you!!

As a life long gamer, musician, and IT guy - the feelings you expressed around the 13 minute mark of feeling out of place or not belonging, are what I feel for anything active / athletic. While I'm making more an effort to be active than I used to - it's definitely my happy place or area of expertise. I am as much of a beginner (or noob to borrow gaming vocabulary) as you are to gaming. But as long we try, that's what matters.

The key is for folks to be accepting of beginners, which I think your channel promotes constantly! :)

Me: has zero interest in Fortnite/battle royale games in general
Also me: watches a 30 minute long video about Fortnite cuz Michelle makes it actually interesting 😂

As someone who has played video games their whole life, this perspective of someone never playing a game before is extremely interesting. It makes you think of how important it is to make games accessible for all types of players

Watching someone who doesn't play games play a game for the first time is always a fun time.

That small bit about feeling left out and feeling like wasting people's time being carried hit me. But know a lot of us in the gaming community genuinely love when others stubble onto what we love! Like I love gaming but I love seeing someone else I generally enjoy being with spend time with me gaming. Like there hasn't really been a joy in my life as a gamer quite like getting my girlfriend to fall in love with minecraft or animal crossing. Like we have something to do together that we both love! You're not wasting anyone's time learning, you're just going through the growing pains of learning another langue of sort! Truly a pleasure for you to be offically apart of the gaming community!
