If Frank didn’t have the motorcycle accident and then didn’t gain all the weight to compete with Carson and Lesnar he would have been in my mind the greatest heavyweight champ of his generation. IMO

That's what happened to Ronda. Never lost. Ended up losing against holly and never recovered.

Depends on when the loss was but I do agree with that.

To a degree I get it, losing sucks and makes you get to work. I admit I got a bit lazy when I was 2-0, and I'm not talented enough to be lazy

Just look at Izzy, got dispatched by Alex, came back and dropped Alex, got comfortable and cocky again and then Strickland put him in a grave

You can get your ass handed to you and still win though

He's right. For the most part, anyway. It might be different in the professional fight world versus the illegal street fight world. I know that when I was fighting, nobody hustled harder than me and I stayed on top because of that. I think as a pro fighter, you get up and try again if you take the L. In the street fighting world, losing can mean that you just weren't good enough that day, being sore from the fight, or being maimed or crippled. That's how it was back in the day. I don't know about now.
