"Baby hotline" and "dinner is not over" are amazing songs about experiencing suicidelness or having someone close to you experience that and it really describes it so well, thankyou Jack Stauber

For those who don’t know, this song was written about a suicidal woman who collects money to call a suicide prevention hotline through a payphone

Edit: I know Jack hasn’t confirmed this himself, but this is the most popular theory, also thanks for the likes, helps me out a lot

One thing i love about jack stauber is not only does he talk about serious topics needing recognizion but he does it in such an abstract way. Take Opal for an example.

Got to meet him 6 months ago at my job and he is just purely awesome. I swear that phrase never meet your heroes was put to bed when I met this guy. Humble, kind, and down to earth

Edit: Never got this many likes on a comment ever so thanks for that. I noticed like two of you didn’t believe the story so I posted the picture of him and I on my community section of the page for all the non believers!

For the people who do not understand Jack is known for making a lot of songs about personality phobias and disorders. And this song is suicide hotline (also know as 988) and I can always relate to this song because I have attempted before and I was forced to talk to the suicide prevention hotline and it makes all since after I have and I understand this song a lot more now.

(Edit) THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR 5.1 LIKES AND ALL THE SUPPORT LOVE YOU ALL!!!

(Edit 2) okay so I understand that some of you do not like others comments *cough* Ducky *cough* but if you're just going to upset or do hate speech here I will not hesitate to report or delete this comment so please do not send anything that involves: hate speech, assault, threats, and racist homophonic and sexist comments. I do thank the people who tried to help and support me because writing this did take a lot of balls to do even though I'm a pussy ngtl but this arguing has to stop besides it's been like 5 months? So please just don't argue or put hate because you think that's just gonna solve everything. (And yes it's not that's not the way you fix things) and again thank you all for the support and have a good rest of your day may God bless you all.

I think everyone needs to listen to Jack Stauber, just songs other than baby hotline, buttercup, and oh klahoma. He has so many other great songs that need recognition, my personal favorite is dead weight!

This song is when a teenager called the suicide hotline but they kept leaving her on hold, soo they lost her that day.

heres the meaning of the song (the song doesn't have an actual meaning so thank you mr fucking sherlock holmes in the replies but jack stauber says that it can be interpreted in a lot of ways)
so a woman was feeling extremely depressed and having suicidal thoughts. she decided to call the suicide hotline, which requires payment in quarters. they kept putting her on hold and she ran out of quarters. she ultimately killed herself while she was on hold

edit: my gosh 1.3k likes in 4 hours ty lmao
edit #2: as someone said in replies - this is just *speculated* to be the meaning of the song
edit #3: holy fucking shitballs how did i get 17k likes
