Mozart's concert violin is a Pietro Antonio Dalla Costa (c. 1697 – 1770), fine violin maker from Treviso, Italy, purchased by Leopold for young Wolfgang as they were touring Italy in 1769.

I'm gonna be honest over here. THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RECORDING OF MOZART'S 4TH VIOLIN CONCERTO, and yes it sounds even more beautiful than a Stradivarius violin

I love this. I'm confused though about the filming- has there been an "ageing" effect applied to the visual recording? People are wearing masks, so it's definitely mid-covid ... yet this footage looks like restored film from the 70's.tid-bittwenty-ninth

In the high registers, there is something in the overtones that the instrument produces, that makes the violin seem as though it's trying to pretend to be a piccolo trumpet. One thing noted for interpreting my performances of Mozart.

notice how short the fingerboard is, that's because back in the days ppl weren't used to playing in positions too high

Lovely violin sound, highly competent playing! However, it would be so much better if Mr. Koncz did not flop around so much! Reference Heifetz, Zukerman, or Milstein for an example of stage presence.
