iOS 17 Beta 6 is Out! - What's New?

iOS 17 Beta 6 Released to Developers and iOS 17 Public Beta 4 is out now. iOS 17 will bring new features, bug fixes and changes and will run along with iOS 16 Betas until the final iOS 17 public release.

iOS 17 Beta 6 is out along with iPadOS 17 Beta 6, macOS 14 Sonoma Beta 6, watchOS 10 Beta 6, tvOS 17 Beta 6 and HomePodOS 17 Beta 6

Expect iOS 17 Beta 7 next week with some changes as well.

8:56 I have been running the developer betas since the first iOS 17 beta release. By far this update has been much smoother, snappy, and my benchmarks are the best I’ve seen. (I just ran them before watching your video)

Single Core: Same as D-Beta 5 (2641)
Multi Core: I saw a nice improvement from 6752 on beta 5 to now 6953 on Beta 6.

It is way smoother and battery drains way less compared to beta 5.
Updated my watch too to beta 6 and the new interface on watch os 10 is sOoo much more better. I’m loving where all this is going.

Aaron. Small point of constructive criticism… the VFX for the update list around 0:38 would probably look a little better if it was on the right side with the white background since it has black text with a transparent layer behind it.

Updating now, I have been getting a lot of laggy/dropped frames with beta 5 on my 14 Pro Max. Especially when I’m in an app and swipe home, almost every time the phone gets laggy. Hopefully this update fixes all of it!

I did also noticed on last beta video mode when filming in yellow light it does an auto white balance. Really sweet

I may stand alone in this, but I actually liked the bottom right hang up. I liked being able to end a call and not have to worry if I was going to hit the call button if the screen switched before I touched the screen or if there was a delay

My iOS 16.6 on my 14pro is very bad
I have worse battery life now and my battery health has dropped from 98 to 96 in a very short time and it’s very buggy too
Sometimes my keyboard can even appear on my locked screen when locked
Can’t wait for the next update
Hopefully all these get fixed especially the battery life

1. The stuttering that is apparent almost everywhere.
2. Camera still messing up HDR. Especially dim photos with people in them.

Downloaded/installed developer beta 6 on my 13 Pro Max a few minutes ago as well! So far, extremely smooth/fluid/really fast! Will have to continue testing!

First time I am reverting back to previous iOS when running a beta. Too many issues for me even this close to release. Alarm will go off as if it was snoozed even though turned off each morning, Lock Screen locked when playing music, crossfade doesn't consistently work, not smooth when opening Home Screen. Widget issues... the list goes on. Using iPhone 14 Pro space black 1 TB
