New sod rolls come fertilized straight off the farm field. You can use starter fertilizer but not recommended to use any other fertilizer as you can potentially harm the grass. There’s tons of different opinions online. Biggest thing to note is watch out for over fertilizing as you can burn the grass. Always read and follow the label

I'm putting this down on new grass that's right at about 6 weeks. Once I apply it do I need to water immediately? The bag really doesn't say. Thanks for the help
