I was fortunate enough to be the only person to caddy for Tiger for 1 PGA TOURNAMENT ROUND IN THE 1997 BUICK CLASSIC AT WESTCHESTER C.C. It is so much fun for me to watch Charlie follow his dad's foot steps. The swing and manorism between the 2 are amazingly similar ! I see a future SUPERSTAR, in the making ! Wishing the BEST of luck to both of them in the GOLF world.

If Charlie is able to go on and play Division I golf (which I would expect him to be able to do based on what we're seeing with his development so far) that would be a great accomplishment. If he is able to make it on the PGA tour and have any success it would be truly incredible. His swing looks incredibly powerful and solid for a kid that age and he certainly has one of the best coaches/instructors you could ever have plus every advantage with the best training and equipment.

He's good but nowhere near great for that age. Shooting mid high 70's from 5700-6000 yards at that age isn't a big deal. I was very involved in junior golf in ATL for years and I can tell you that most of the kids that went on to play SEC and ACC golf would have smoked him when they were 13. By freshman year HS (14 years old) the really good players were shooting high 60's to low 70's from 6500-7000 yds with ocassional low mid 60's rounds thrown in there. The truth will be told when he starts playing AJGA's which he should start playing in a year or 2 if he can start accumulating stars and get in via qualifiers which is not easy. Quite a few AJGA's will play PGAT level courses (like Copperhead) with high rough, tough pins and fast greens and you still see many under par scores. If he wants to truly qualify for a D1 program without his daddy's help, the next 2 years will tell the story.

When you survey history, both within and outside of sports, not many Greats were carried on by their legacies. Only one family history of greatness that I can think of carried on from its antecedents, that being the Huxleys, but that too died with Aldous, the other guy who died Nov 11, 1963. That being said, not the Kennedys, not Nicklaus, not Lennon, nor McCartney, not Hitler (happily), nor Stalin, neither Darwin nor Dylan. No GOAT has been surpassed by their progeny. No. Charlie Woods, I'm sure, is a good golfer, but the legend of prodigy rarely revisits successive generations.
