Classical Sun Salutation Tutorial - Aham Yoga

Показать описание
Arundhati walks you through the basics of classical surya namaskar or sun salutations as they are popularly known. This is an ancient yogic practice that weaves yoga poses and breath together in a rhythmic pattern.

Benefits:
* Improves circulation
* Enhances breathing
*Improves posture
*Good for the spine
*Reduces lower back discomfort
*Improves flexibility
*Builds strength
*Improves overall body awareness

Beginners need a little more time to build the practice. And must work slowly and patiently. If you are already regular with this practice. I recommend anywhere from 3 to 12 rounds daily. Remember right and left sides are counted as 1 round.

Work on alignment first, and then the breath.

Just getting back to yoga after many years. I had been doing very high-intensity workouts like Insanity (for 6+ years), and my 63-year-old body doesn't seem to handle them as well anymore. It would be very helpful if you were to add a written tutorial (at least the order of the position names), so I could get the sequence down and then work on the subtleties of each posture. This would go for all of the basic sequences. You have the best yoga channel out there. Keep up the good work!
