Chevy is the base model, if you compare base to base then we can see the difference

You don't talk at all about the fast charging capabilities. That makes all the difference for road tripping. Please add this to your future reviews.

there is no such thing as a quick afternoon at the dealership.

The Hyundai now has a rear wiper too. It was a big omission on previous models

You're missing out on a lot of key points to the Equinox. Like you state it doesn't come with heated seats. Well yeah the crappy base model you have doesn't. But it certainly can be optioned. Also you say that it's slow yeah in the front wheel drive but the all-wheel drive makes it two seconds faster to 60.

I wish Edmund’s would do a 70 or 80 mph highway range test from 100% down to 5% or something like that. Having a model y, I don’t care about range when I’m driving around the city. But on a road trip going like 80mph avg and getting barely 210 miles out of my LR model Y that’s supposed to get like 330miles is crazy. Also a show of how much level 3 charging costs at different stations would be cool, like Tesla super chargers vs Evgo, electrify America, etc…
(Yes I know Out of Spec reviews does highway range test, but it would be nice if another company/team did it too)

Did you mention that the Chevy “trial period” is 8 years?

Don’t need to enter destination for FSD (Supervised). Can just be driving aimlessly and activate. Also don’t have to touch wheel while using FSD (Supervised) if your eyes are visible to the cabin camera. -Model S Plaid owner who uses FSD every day.

I love how he looks down when adjusting the air vents on the Hyundai saying he loves physical button because you don't have to look down to do it lol

You totally don't have to keep your hands on the wheel on the Model Y. It watches your eyes to make sure you are paying attention.

I can't help but wonder how the updated Mach E would have stacked up. They changed the motor used in the rear of the car, and supposedly made some changes to the suspension and processor in the infotainment system- so maybe when the 25's start hitting the ground Edmunds could test one.

I guess I will wait and see.

3:16 You don't ever have to actually touch the wheel. As long as you're paying attention (it's monitoring you via camera), you can go fully hands off at all times. Just be ready to take over if necessary.

Why did you stop rating the Kia EV6 wind? Seems like a great contender for the top spot.

Chevrolet's EVs comes with a 8 year FREE data plan for up to 8 years so you can get reliable data from Google Maps. Neither Tesla or Rivian are offering Apple Car Play or Android Auto for the same reason.

How do they tie on the top spot... One has much better range, efficiency, more comfortable and quicker, and has much better storage and big usable frunk....

Fantastic comparative review, Brian 👍
It would be nice to include IIHS safety ratings as one of the metrics for future reviews!

You did not compare a comparable Equinox EV and several statements are not correct.

VERIFIED: My 2025 Equinox shows 8 years for connectivity. This includes the support for their internal apps, including Google voice requests and Google Maps, remote commands, automatic crash response, EV data to app, dealer diagnostics, and charge status… essentially all the services for using the car. Third party apps require a data plan, but there aren’t many.
