I've seen Reb play a few times. He is right up there with the greats of the doesn't get the credit they all deserve, certainly not Kip. He is a prodigy too. Incredibly talented and diverse.

I remember being a kid and seeing him with that natrual wood guitar cut away to the trem and thinking it was the coolest fiddle I had ever seen.... Obviously his ability to play with soooo many different bands shows how skilled he is.

EVH came along and then everybody was knicking his ideas.... especially the tapping....reb beach taps as much as anyone post EVH...bt he DOESNT sound like eddie unlike everyone else....reb took the tapping to another level and ended up with one of the most distinctive sounds of all the 80's impressive ✌🏼

I've met him a few times here in Fort Wayne, IN at Sweetwater. He's a real neat guy. Someone you can easily have a conversation with just as if he were a friend. He signed my one of one Masterson quilt top guitar amp for me when he was doing a live session in the cafeteria area at Sweetwater with the band winger. Much respect. I have 67 signatures right now multiple musicians. I'm going to donate it to the Fort Wayne Historical Museum at some point. I'm also writing a book about the musicians who signed it, how I got the signatures, if it was at a concert what the show was like, , the weather, the crowd etc. when I think I have enough chapters or run out of room for signatures, I'll stop and sell the book on Amazon and donate the amp. After I record with it a few times that is. 👍💯😎 Reb is a class act for sure. Oh which brings me to Yngwie who wouldn't sign it. But I actually thank him for that because that made me realize I should include those who wouldn't sign it as well. I was about ten feet from him and only three people there and he refused to sign it and acted as if I didn't even exist. Yngwie Malmsteen that is. Not such a class act
But I'm not mad I'm not bitter he's a great player. But I can remember Reb's music much easier than Yngwie so there's that.

I had no idea he was heavily influenced by Steve Morse and the Dixie dregs. So cool that he ended up in a band with Rod Morgenstein.

I've always liked the way Reb plays with Paul Taylor in Winger and Doug Aldrich with Whitesnake as they complement each others styles!

He's actually got a very unique style, no one sounds like him and that's a compliment on it's own. Sadly, he broke at the wrong time, as the industry was sliding off a cliff and like other incredible guys, solo masters (Vito Bratta), he got largely forgotten after the ashes were sorted out from the destruction. I always looked at him on his own, just a real smoker on the guitar.

Reb plays very clean live...very few missed notes. He reminds me of Vito from White lion.
