Wait, are you telling me as a martial arts instructor that you and your students don’t walk the streets at night in karate uniforms looking to start trouble with gangs of wing chun nerds? I don’t know man… if that’s not normal, what am I doing with my life?

Fun fact: for the awesome people who've seen Stephen Chows movie, Shaolin Soccer, this is the same actor that was like a hilarious Bruce lee wannabe in the movie who was the goalie, also he was in Kung fu hustle as well who played the leader of the Axe gang, can't even tell its the same guy

Bruce was once asked during an interview how he would feel facing an opponent with a knife. He shook his head and said he would pity his opponent because a man with a weapon becomes fixated on the weapon and loses sight of the rest of his natural weapons. I've wondered if the shaking of his head when the nunchucks came out was a nod to that interview.

This guy has portrayed Bruce in a TV serie by the CCTV called The Legend of Bruce Lee. I personally think nobody has come as close to imitate Bruce Lee fighting style and plasticity as Danny Chan Kwok-Kwan. The guy is very talented.

Honestly wonder if that guy just camped out in that alley waiting for his opportunity to kick that light out. Still a great fight scene and a solid representation of Bruce.

THE DOJO WARS IN FULL EFFECT.

Man back in the days where udd have you gi at the arcades, brought your tonfas at the laudromat, shit was SERIOUS then. Sometimes ud kick a light to start a fight intro sequence, other times you just called next at the arcade then didnt put a coin in. Shit - was - real. Karate, kung fu, ninja, psychic powers, those were the times.

The dude breaking the light bulb is a homage to Bruce's scene in "Marlowe"

Legend has it this happened to Bruce everyday, all day, for his entire life. Truly incredible.

I love how they used Bruce's favourite moves, the back fist, side kick finisher and offcourse the one inch punch when he got the nunchucks away from him, beautiful 👌

Just a little correction. Chris Collins actually doesn't appear in this scene. The actor that Danny Chan fights against is actually Mark Strange.

I noticed that "Bruce Lee" held his nunchuck close to the chain. That's how I was taught to hold them for better control, but the real Bruce Lee held nunchucks clear down at the bottom for more power. Half the fun of studying martial arts is watching films and finding every flaw in the fight choreography. :)

If I'm not mistaken, the guy who plays Bruce Lee here (Danny Kwok-Kwan Chan) is the same guy who plays Bruce Lee in the 2008 series 'The Legend of Bruce Lee', although the actor for Master Ip in that show is very different. Danny is obviously extremely good in the role

Cinematic-wise, I think this was one of the best fictitious portrayals of Bruce Lee. You can tell there was some visual effects added to his moves and speed, but I mean, not many can match Bruce’s speed to begin with. His strikes, backhands, and Pak Sao was on point tho.

The light break was a nod to Bruce Lee only he could reach over 10 feet.
Did it in Matlock and a few other sketches
Love your reaction

I respect how you have learnt the correct pronunciation of the master's name: Ip Man.
