Sam is always very friendly and outgoing with his fans, one of the many reasons he is so revered. By the way, the older lady wasn't a fan, which Sam had hugged so warmly. It was his former teacher and he was genuinely happy to see her again. I wouldn't want to meet him in the midst of a horde of screaming women, maybe on a hike in the Highlands, that would be nice.
