Pinch the "Baby Strawberry" between your fingers. Insert pin into the area you've pinched. Puts pressure on the emery, which, in turn, causes it to do a better (quicker) job of sharpening your pin. BTW, larger strawberries, without the tomato pincushion, are available. I have a couple of them, bought over the years, specifically to sharpen pins. The larger ones, do a better job, IMO.

OMG I forgot about that, I knew it 50+ years ago, My grand mother taught me about it when I was 5-7 years old. Those really important things in life we forget

How many times do you need to poke it into the baby strawberry until it's at maximum sharpness?

The filling used in the tiny strawberry is called " crushed walnut shells" I've done the research on the tiny strawberry
