Today we have another second-hand unboxing. This time it's something kind of different. We take a look at an older run of Kato's C56, not in N, but in HO scale. Along with this, we also quickly unpack a Kato Standard S Power Pack. This model has the product number of 1-201, and unlike the Australian HO scale, which is 1:87, this is 1:80 scale. This model marks our entry to the Japanese HO market. We don't plan to acquire too many models of this scale, but one will pop up here and there on this channel, either in the second-hand or unboxing playlist.
In this video we unpack both the model and controller, then perform our servicing and running of the C56 model.
From the consist section, we have a change of cameras after a recent failure. The audio quality is a bit all over the place from then on, for which we apologise. We hope to have this fixed by our next video.
