How SHA256 Algorithm Works

so in this Lab we will see how sha256 works how sha256 is calculated using sha256sum command on kali linux terminal, we will generate a sha256sum and place the value in text files and use the diff command to check the difference & compare of sha256 sum
SHA-256 hashing algorithm produces a 256 bit hash value of any file and these values can be used to check the integrity of the file. it proves that by the time an up loader had uploaded a file and a user had downloaded the file the file remains the same and no manipulation to file had occurred. SHA-256 can be viewed as an almost unique signature of that file.
SHA stand for Secure Hasing Algorithm, SHA can produce from 1bit to 256bit hash values. sha256 is used in bitcoin mining as well.
