Thank you for your help ! I will try to get a lawyer and try to get my rent put into escrow till EVERYTHING is fixed in my apt., meanwhile I'll get on a waiting list for another apt to go to a place with a decent apt manager.

My apt manager writes out her threatening paperwork, dates it, then gives it to !!! she doesn't GIVE that paperwork to you till the ALLOTED time you would have had to respond is actually OVER. Then she brags how she'll take all your deposit $ and make you pay ALL her court costs, and brags how she'll throw you into the streets !
Like say she wants to inspect the apt. ...the paper work states you have 3 days before she'll inspect your apt...YOU NEVER HAVE THOSE 3 DAYS, HER ASST. MANAGER SLIPS THE PAPERWORK UNDER YOUR DOOR LIKE 3 HRS BEFORE SHE'LL INSPECT THE APT.

I did get help to help with my rent and they are rejecting it. I lost my job or quit. Got behind 3 weeks and had to get 2 jobs to try catch up. Been here 17 years and been a great tenant

Awesome video packed with great information! My family is dealing with a family member who isn't the property owner but yet has filed an eviction notice to the tenant that is actually paying rent. He's been trying to find ways to get control of the property and it's retaliation. I've given the tenant a signed lease agreement, probate court order naming the owners, and evidence of the family member removing the name and mailing address of the owner. He listed his own name in an attempt to prove ownership. The tenant has been bullied and harassed for months by the family member, even having the water turned off twice. It's at the point that the police has been involved and did the paperwork for a restraining order. The family member has broken several laws including breaking and entering the property.

I know this is great for the legal system, but IMHO, the state governors must go to jail for their evil, unconstitutional acts. Pitiful in the greatest country in the world - pitiful!

I need other advice, We are being evicted for Pet ESA paperwork, after 6 months of no repair, 4 requests of 4 serious problems. Rent has always been on time and we paid 4 months early last October when they said they would make repairs. The other day I was told by the manager " Your repairs were not an emergency" all I could think was " Did she really just say that"?

very helpful content, i have a circumstance where the landlord provide a website to use for auto pay, says i cant just leave a check, i work till 5 and they close, so i have no choice, its like they heard you to the website. i set up auto pay, and they dont take it out. and now the land load charges a extremely high late fee of $200. i right away know this is a scam, and i told them, they said its the website, i still have to pay. i offer to pay the rent, but im not paying the late fee, they should be responsible for their own hired company not doing what they were hired to do. they said its in their policy, so i know the structured this to rob tenants. there is no such thing as coincidence. they wont take just the rent, and want to evict. is there anything i can do?

This should be very interresting as we have a very nasty Hud head manager who DOES many underhanded things, like she gave me a heavy fine stateing I hadden't paid on time (I always pay on the 1st of the month without fail) and she stated that I hadden't paid a $6. increase in my rent and she haddn't 'noticed' it in months and eighter pay this huge fine or you will be kicked out!!! I wanted proof of this phoney crap and she couldn't provide it and ordered me out of HER office. I had to have my phone off for almost a year to pay that phoney charge.
She will not give anyone receipts when one pays the rent ! By law isn't that a Federal Offence?!
IF you stand up to her see tries to screw you every way she can. I pay by check every month.
In 7 years NOT ONE THING has been fixed in my aptment !!! My light in the kitchen went out 3 weeks ago for one. I have lot's of pictures of black and other colours molds.
I don't have the money for a lawyer. Every reassessment she makes me go through it 3 times in a row!! This year she raised my rent AGAIN TWICE IN 2 MONTHS.
I've saved every bit of HER non stop threatening paperwork. She wants all whites out and only blacks in the building. She is a big racist to boot.
