You're such a comic actor, I love the way you teach English, very helpful and funny.
Thank you.

I'm only using these two:

A, formal: "Ya f'ckn' wa', mate?!"

B, informal: "I'm terribly sorry to bother you, sir, but I'm afraid I didn't quite catch that. Could you run that by me again, as long as it's no trouble of course?"

Greetings from Germany. ;)

In the United States it's also VERY common to simply say "Pardon?!" (informal). Nice video. Cheers!

I prefer the Norwegian «hæ?», I still catch myself doing it after years of living in the UK, even a «what» is a step up from that. My solution is to just stay inside and not talking to anyone, works really well until I run out of food.

Im an hispanic that recently moved to USA and this channel has been so helpful! I have committed all common errors discussed here. A good topic for future videos would be: excuse me vs Im sorry and though vs but. These have gotten me.

I think this video is aimed at people that don't speak English as their first language but seriously it should be watched by Brits. So many of them them say "What" - it drives me nuts! I usually say "sorry?" with a raised voice at the end as a shortened version of "Sorry I didn't catch that".

5:06 You said: "Can you run me by that", Is it the same as "Can you run that by me"?

We say in Australia very common " Sorry? Or say again, please or even then "can you repeat that, please?". I used to hear when i was kid to old ladies saying when something was very upsetting as the phrase " i beg your pardon". This latter is a little bit much formal but useful.

How about "Sorry, say (that) again please?" I hear this one a lot too, and I use it very often. But my favourite one is "sorry I didn't quite catch that". My friend keeps saying "what" and I am like, "what, what?" (with glottal t) hahaha
