FILM DESCRIPTION:
A worn-down country singer and a burgeoning journalist form an unusual bond in this drama adapted from the novel by Thomas Cobb. His spirit broken by multiple failed marriages, too much time on the road, and too many nights with the bottle, Bad Blake (Jeff Bridges) had started to feel like he was headed down the path of no return. When probing young writer Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal) digs deep enough to unearth the broken man behind the legend, however, Bad realizes that redemption may not be such a long shot after all. Robert Duvall and Colin Farrell co-star.

“Funny how fallin’ feels like flyin’ for a little while” so true. I know JB won a very well deserved Oscar for his part as Bad Blake but I still believe this movie is a bit underrated; imo it’s a true classic. Sensational flick

I have watched this clip over and over again, and I can't help but imagine that before they shot this scene Bridges ate garlic and Ferrell ate a can of sardines. I love this, it makes me smile, every time.

One of my absolute favorites, as hard as the sadder parts can be to watch. I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up in and around the country music industry, and this film captures in a way that I don’t know will ever be recreated. Thank god for Jeff Bridges, Colin Farrell, and Crazy Heart.
