The Olive oil comment is spot on. Had a ear wax build up years ago that became quite painful. Doctor recommended olive oil for a few days which softened it up and a lot ended up coming out but when I went back and he flushed the rest out it felt amazing.

Most excellent job extracting this hard refuse in one solid mass. I was on pins & needles pulling for you in hopes the mass wouldn't fall back into that twirly abyss. This gentleman's got to be experiencing a lot of relief & far better hearing once, , due to your great skills, , removal of that waxy rock was completed..

What you did was perfect. If you were able to advise the patient to use ear drops a couple of days before you did the removal it may have helped soften the wax but otherwise you great skill was more than good enough to remove this very dry impacted wax, fantastic work 👌

I'm amazed he didn't apply a lubricant to moisten the ear wax. It would have made the removal much less painful.

I thought they can blass it out with syringe after drops to loosen it. Olive oil works too if you get a bug stuck in ear.

How close was this to the ear drum? I may have to get this done someday and the thought of anyone getting close to my eardrums makes my skin crawl and anxiety spike 😅.

Great job removing that as well. Not sure I would have the spine to try and remove that (much less the skill)

My doctor wouldn't take mine out bc it's hard too, she give me drops and tom is my follow up check up. Didn't know you could do this even if it's hard
