How to Find Out What's Really on Your Mind

FURTHER READING

“This is a psychological game that offers us an entertaining and unique way to learn about what’s really going on in our minds. We’re offered the beginnings of a story – and are then invited to imagine the rest. What might happen to the little boy and girl lost in the forest, or the old wizard who has just come across an ancient book in a monastery or the shipwrecked sailor on a dark volcanic island? The way we complete the story ends up showing us a remarkable, immense amount about our values, fears, concerns and hopes. Play the game in company for entertainment and confession; play it on your own to mine the contents of your deep self…”

Mate. This left me with more questions than answers.
I was blank for so many questions. Absolutely blank.

There are too many prompts in the drawings to unconsciously bias your answer

Great video but it needs just a couple of seconds more on each question as it was way too fast

hey just fyi, dont do this if you have OCD or other disorders where you can have intrusive thoughts. this exercise can be dangerous and lend validity to the thoughts that force thier way in front of your actual feelings. for alot of people our first thought is the opposite of our feelings

The words/revelations that came out are often shocking, but always liberating. It always feels good when you are able to connect with yourself on a deeper level.

It would’ve been better, if the sentences were written on a neutral background without the pictures! I found myself few times saying/thinking what was on the pictures behind the sentences, despite it wasn’t what I’ve felt or thought about

I have adhd and I just spaced out in the middle of the exercise 😂

Pitty you inserted these images. It's very distracting, at least for me.

I shocked myself. I didn't expect some of the answers. They came out more positive than i thought. Thank you. I 'd enjoy to see more exercises like this. 💐

My answers are:
If only I was smarter and stronger.
My mother always care for me.
Men are independence.
I want to be great.
Enough of disagreements.
I adore love.
Women are beautiful.
The world is dying.
Deep down I am losing myself.
I am focusing.
My only wish...
My father is always be with me.
The best would be if I have a companion.
In the darkness, I feel alone.
I don't want to be alone.
When it will be all over, I can move on.
In the next decade, no technology no life.
If I didn't worry what people think about myself.
If I wasn't so scared to breakfree.
Now is the moment to grow up.
I'm not really good.
I should pay less attention to media.
The real obstacle is yourself.
Underneath everything, I am nothing.

Great questions, to sum it up for me, "l've had an incredible difficult life." To get through what can only be describe as, tormentous obstacles, at 60-plus, and still be sane, is an chivement. At 21, I was the poster-boy for PST. My childhood was nothing more than, nightmare. There was no such thing as Councilling, in those days. And so, for the twenty years, or so, I suffered flashbacks, waking up in the middle of the night, sweating perfusly. It was only when I met someone who gave the tools, that turn my life around.

I pleasantly surprised myself by giving all positive answers

What I found most interesting about this is that I didn't look at or notice the background illustrations at all until it got to, "I should pay less attention to..." and my eyes immediately snapped to the illustrations while thinking, "pointless things."

I think this would work a lot better if there wasn't imagery to skew my thoughts. Several times I felt myself being led to a particular thought because one of the accompanying images reminded me of someone.

This is such a simple way to expose yourself to you. Wow.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

This is very great exercises, but the images with the words contributed to my response.

Agreeing with a few other comments. Doing this exercise while dealing with very harsh intrusive thoughts can be a minefield. Proceed with caution.

I actually don't think i completed sentences with my unconsious thoughts, i mostly recalled how these sentences are used in everyday life and what people say mostly, like catchphrases
