Everyone remembers having a dog growing up, but things are different these days…. Mom has to work, no more nice back yards to build a kennel…. Its sad but if u want a dog and u work u need to find daycare. Noone would have believed this 50 years ago…. Doggy daycare!!

I may be late for this short, but people need to remember 9 hours with ample space, food, toys, background music even, is MUCHHH better than a cage with water and cold AC for days in a animal shelter.

I think the takeaway from this is that this is a PUPPY. If your dog is older, then I think being away from home for 8-9 hrs a day is typical for most adults who work a 9-5 job. But obviously, this type of schedule doesn't work for a young puppy. For the first year of their life, you need to be home with them more until they learn to be home by themselves for an extended time.

These reactions are ludicrous. Everyone has to work to survive. Are you all married to software engineers or lawyers and get to live a life of leisure? Everyone I know with a dog has a job. You walk him before and after work and take him out on the weekends.

Most people are working to survive
And most shifts are 8-9 hours + the road to and from
Not everyone privileged not to work
So you say who works can't have a dog ?
Are you prefer the fogs put down coz there is not enough privileged people who can not work?
I'm with my puppy at least an hour in the morning run
Then a short walk when I'm back (after 8 hours sometimes) and then another long walk for 2h before bad
Let's not go to over criticism when it's not needed

Our dog was home by himself for about 5 hrs {noon} taken out for exercise for about a hour then back inside till we get back . When gone he is trained to protect the house. Enter if you dare,

I work 10 & have 2 🤷🏽‍♀️ I love my babies but I have to pay bills . Thousands of dogs need homes in shelters 🤨 think about their living conditions

And we wonder why daycare kids are so messed up. Don't have dogs or kids if YOU'RE not able to spend time with them. It's awful for dogs AND kids.
