Let’s give it up for the real heroes of Overland YouTube: the women who follow their mans around the truck while he tries to do a one-take walkaround. We salute you.

I appreciate your videos. So many times, YouTubers sling the “best” and most expensive gear. The commercialization of some of the channels is a little over the top. You have steered me into a couple of products, thanks for keeping it real.

Looks like a great setup! I recently grabbed a 2010 Trail 4Runner as well. Let the mods begin!

Just getting into overlanding, I’m in the market for a 4Runner and just getting an idea on some of the key modifications I’m going to to need. This video was so helpful, thank you!

Love watching your videos I’ve been a truck driver 15 years You’ve inspired me to take my wife and kids out west to show them so we bought a jeep commander and just got back last week from South Dakota keep it up 😊

Glad that you mentioned about trash and bears, and using the bear vault. Honestly the only overlanding YouTuber I have seen that even mentions anything about it. Have you changed anything now with a little one with you? I think diapers are the toughest part to manage when it comes to trash management.

Well thought out, I like it. Thanks for the info on the Spot X - I’ve been looking at the Garmin, nice to have something to compare.

Running Falken Wildpeak AT3s on my 4Runner. Really love the performance, especially in snow. Low road noise as well, plus they're cheaper than KO2s. Hard to go wrong with KO2s though!

I'm closing in on a year and 10, 000 miles on a set of General Grabber X3s. I'm not sure if they're a mild MT or an aggressive AT, but they have been a pleasure to drive on. Wanting to preserve my 15 mpg, I only went one size larger than stock on tires. Sand performance at street pressure was the only area I was left wanting. Most of my builds have had wider tires that didn't require airing down, so it caught me off guard the first time. The inexplicably heavy GX was certainly a factor as well. I spend very little time in sand anymore, and everything was fine once pressures were dropped to the teens.

Wow, what a great setup you have there! I will have to do the me thing like what you have. Thanks!

Cool! I’ve just replaced my KO2s after 56k trouble-free miles, and they still had 6-10k miles left, but that’s less than what I’ll be putting on my new set this summer. Also, Shrockworks rock sliders and Smittybilt X2O (it IS oh, not zero) 💪🏼 Happy tails - less gear, more mpgs!

I have exactly the same 4Runner / year. ARB bumper x CBi. I probably will buy a CBI. Winch 10.000. Suspension, radios, gps, roof tent... thank you to share. You will help me with my doubts and decisions.

Nicely done video. Ok if you kept the 4Runner what would you have done differently looking back??? Thanks.
