The part when she was talking to Houston always gets to me. She says that she doesn't know how to pray, but that act of talking to Houston--with the faith that maybe he's listening--is prayer by itself. Amazing, amazing movie.

3:44 That part, man. If you have no words to describe that part, I have my own description. It's so unique, breathtaking, emotional, sad, beautiful, almost painful, a song to fight for tomorrow and for something important. With that part, you are loose on the track. You feel sad but at the same time, you feel happy, you feel free, like if nothing wrong will happen, like if something good, something great will happen later, like a miracle. You want to smile with this part, you want to cry, you want to feel happy, cheer up, feel like you're in some sort of never-ending celebration. Don't let it end. Don't let it end.

This whole piece is an emotional masterpiece. But my favorite part is 2:24 when the strings come in and it's like hope has come.

This track in specific... just wow. It has this ability to pull our your emotions and make you feel inspired, yet on the verge of tears (probably just from the beauty of its sound).
But I gotta be honest, 3:28-4:30 gets me every time. Every time. The scene for that bit in the movie is incredible, too.

Despite the obvious scientific (and astronaut) inaccuracies, the film AS A FILM was amazing. It was a perfect metaphor for the human condition. The ultimate strive against adversity despite impossible odds.
