I like how you have a humor about the situation LOL this is something I don't wish on anybody. I have been dealing with this for 2 years. Went to hospital and doctors telling me I was crazy. I know when something's crawling on my face. You've been very helpful. Still learning and trying to deal with it. I found them with microscope light and water..craziest thing I have ever seen..

Lots of good info, thank you. Turns out my hair loss was actually a massive infestation of whichever version of mites it is. I discovered it when I took the clippers to my hair. But it also explained all the eye issues I have had. Turns out that my dry eyes, water blisters after being around smokers, etc was probably Demodex. I have used Tea tree oil sporadically over the years, which probably kept it just enough under control that it never became an issue. Just an irritant. But since I have been treating my hair, I figured I would do my eyes and face as well as my entire body as a precaution. So, 2 days later my eyes are no longer swollen, they are more clear, still dry, but getting better.
I have always just cleaned my hands really well, used 1 drop of oil and rubbed it around my finger tips. Then I swiped a finger tip per lid and into the corners. I have also tried using liquified coconut oil into the eyes, which also really helped (when I did it) again, just a bit, not even a drop.
The tea tree oil stings, but after you do it for a few days in a row, it doesn’t seem to sting as much.

I love your videos!! What tea tree oil face cleaner should we buy? Also is there you should use it on your face and around your eyes?

Why do doctors always call me delusional? I'm sick of these mites. Everytime I I got this sensation on my face an eyelashes.

Was trying to figure out trichotillomania where people pull out eyelashes. I could see this being the reason for that ocd feeling

@Eye School with Dr. D
Hi Dr. D & Staff, love your channel. I remember after nursing school in 1991...We were taught to use a baby shampoo solution ( no more tears😎) on patients that had severe dry scaly eyebrows, eyelids & eyelashes along with a RX which I don't recall the name . I also recall when family would get a "Stye"...they would use a reg tea bag in warm/hot *NOT BOILING* water as many times daily & there are OTC ointment that he would purchase that are basically just mineral oil or petroleum jelly. My guess was that it would smother if it was mites. The teabag did help decrease the inflammation on those who were stubborn or prior to antibiotics .
Thank you for all the great & very useful information . 🫶🏽Anita S.

I kept feeling something crawling in my skin on my cheek. I would claw at it and put hand sanitizer on it and look at it to see if I had an ingrown hair or something because I knew something was tickling my face and driving me bonkers. I suppose my phone heard me talking about it or complaining about it and a man telling about demodex popped up in my YouTube feed. So I watched his video and I said, "I knew it. I knew there was something living under my skin." Thank you guys for talking about treatments. I wash my face once daily and most often twice daily. But I will be using some tea tree oil and other natural things to get rid of this little parasite. Perhaps some pure gum spirit turpentine. But I just can't handle the thought of a parasite wiggling around in my face. 🤮 Thanks for sharing!

Second visit to Opthomologist led to demadex mite overcolonization. She Rxed an eyedrop for inflammation and Cliradex wipes. I am trying to find out more info. Thank you for your video. I understand that these mites come up and mate at night ( yuck!) so would it be a good idea to use the tea tree oil wipes during the night? Also, you said the warm compresses move the buggers out, so is that a good time to follow up with the wipes? Does the tea tree oil kill them? How does baby shampoo play into the care or management of these mites?

I suddenly developed an allergy to eye makeup/mascara two years ago and have had to give up eye makeup (unfortunate, because sometimes I'm expected to look put together for work and I look tired without it). It causes blepharitis for a few days after. I've tried different brands, but I wonder if the makeup is irritating/allowing any demodex I may have on my eyelids to multiply and that is causing the blepharitis? Could it be possible that I'm not actually allergic to eye makeup and I just have a horrible infestation of mites that doesn't normally cause me issues if I go makeup free?

Hi Doctor, my ophthalmologist recommended me to use the product I'Lid 'n Lash Plus that contains tea tree oil and hyaluronic acid to clean my eyelid with chalazion. After 5 days, my chalazion was bigger and very red. Is it good to apply hyaluronic acid on chalazion ?

My eye Dr. said I had mites. Told me to try a couple different eye drops . One blurred my vision. Told me to try tea tree wipes, but couldn't find them.

I've used baby shampoo some for a while and helps. But got much worse. Lots of mucus in eyes. Some where I read to use Ivermectin cream. It worked very well, got better quickly. Still use every few days to ward off. I've always had auto immune problems . C

I have been using squalane oil and sometimes vaseline on my eyelashes. Given the risk of demodex, should we apply absolutely nothing on eyelashes to condition the lashes? Would really appreciate your opinion on this!

Manuka is same family as Tea Tree and gentler generally... Also tea tree is a common name... and there are many varieties that tea tree is the common name... So diff varieties will have different effects... Eg manuka is also called tea tree... I noticed that some products selling themselves a tea tree eye cleaners had linalool as an ingredient(a component of tea tree and othe plant oils) but not tea tree oi itself

Thank you for the video and advices. My pleasure to give like! I do have a question though, what is the difference between LED mask and intense pulsed light? I got LED mask with 7 light, it says that red light kills demodex and also says that treats Rosasea. Which one is more effective? I could not find product for IPL in the list below the video. Also everyone mentions tea tree oil but no-one says how to apply it, how much must be diluted in water and most of all, how long we have to keep tea tree oi on face before we rinse it out. Thank you again very much
