I was a crewmember on this beautiful white Lady Astor. On her last cruise from 04.12.2019 until 12.04.2020..it was my first cruise ship experience and i will never forget her. 😔😔😔😔😔😔💙

I'd been working with my wife on this amazing cruise liner when her name was Fedor Dostoyevskiy, and then on Astor, from 1989 till 1996, and honestly speaking these were the happiest years of our life! Farewell to Astor!

I worked on that stage for almost a year. They didn't even take our piano. Thank you for capturing it! Good times on that ship. And incredible how many countries we saw with it and will probably never see again.

That ship is way too nice to be scrapped

Fascinating. As a mariner of nearly 38 years experience I'm amazed to see just how much the company left onboard...so much in terms of fittings that could have been sold off separately and some costs recovered. What a huge waste.

It’s so sad to see this video. This was the ship I did my first ever cruise on. 20 years ago we sailed from Germany to Norway. It was such a nice ship.

It is very sad to see a native ship in this form, many years spent in the walls of this wonderful ship. It is especially sad to see your jobs and cabin in which more than 20 years have been spent...
Everything is thrown as it was with me, I still remember how last year (March 2020) I left these walls for the last time, I don't know that I won't be back here again. Thank you for this hard and sad "tour of death"...

Eerie. Reminds me of a draining experience clearing an estate full of stuff that meant so much to the deceased, but now only carries residual value for the living. The spirit of the ship, which created so many different memories for its passengers is dyeing despite its sound condition.

It's strange to see anything abandoned with all the modern equipment still there and not looted like you often see. It feels like you could turn the ship back on again and start cruising on it, if it wasn't for the giant hole in the bow.

Hard to believe that such a beautiful ship had to be scrapped, especially when the put so much money in it in 2010. WOW. Great video!!

What a shame. Once a piece of luxury now a heap of scrap.. Ship still looks absolutely wonderful ☹️

As a shipping agent I have been on cruise ships like this many times. So I can imagine the good times of this ship with the passengers and crew on board. Every place is beautiful with people.. Great video, thank you.

What a shame it was scrapped, she still had a lot of life in her. She would have made a nice mercy ship conversion.

This ship is more clean than many other abandoned ships. Nice ship.

It's really sad knowing that something as wonderful as this was scrapped.

Amazing to see how much furniture and items were just left behind!!!!
Would have been awesome to have seen the Engine Room and Machinery Compartments considering the state of how the rest of the ship was in...

It was a truly beautiful ship! It hurts my heart to know it, like countless others before it, was scrapped. 😞

Sad to see it end like this. So much character in the way it looks, it is like I am back in the 70's. All those people who where there, enjoying them selves. Like you can still see and hear them as it was.

It would have been nice to see the engine room and other mechanical spaces, areas you never get to see on active cruise ships
