Pentagon warns of China's plans for dominance through nuclear expansion

Pentagon officials say China is on track to challenge the U.S. by accelerating its nuclear expansion. Raymond Kuo, a political scientist for the RAND Corporation, joins CBS News to share his insights on the report.

Still would be less than the US's stockpile. But if you look at China's military strategy, it is the conventional weapons that get the majority of focus. Still the strawman argue of the US, that China is a threat. Doesn't hold water, it leaks when you consider the absence of Chinese foreign combat operations. Also the sparse Chinese military operations since the Korean War. Juxtapose the USA; Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, Iraq 1991-present, Libya, Occupation of Syria and arming of irregular forces there, Ukraine 2014-present.

So does having more nuclear warheads/missiles make you a stronger country? Even if they do have 1500 or more it won't matter. It would only take maybe 500 missiles from each side, not including other countries with nuclear capabilities to decimate the whole of the Earth where you wouldn't want to be living anyway if you were lucky (sic) enough to survive.

US has at least 7000 nuclear warheads, China has 4 times more population than that of US, thus China needs 28, 000 nuclear warheads to have a balance of power .
