In this comprehensive Windows 10 tutorial, you will learn how to change the operating system name displayed in the Windows Boot Manager. If you have multiple operating systems installed on your PC, you're probably familiar with the Boot Menu, which shows the names of each installed OS. This video guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough on customizing these OS names to suit your preferences. Whether you want to make your boot menu more user-friendly or simply personalize it, this tutorial has you covered.

Key Points:
1. Introduction: If you have more than one operating system installed on your PC, you'll see a Boot Menu with a list of OS names. This tutorial shows you how to modify those names to your liking.

2. Access Elevated Command Prompt: Begin by opening the Elevated Command Prompt. Right-click on the Start button and select "Command Prompt Admin."

3. Identify Boot Loader Entries: Inside the Command Prompt, type "BCDEDIT" and hit Enter. This command will display a list of Windows Boot Loader entries for each operating system or specific boot configurations.

4. Select the Correct Identifier: You must identify the specific Windows Boot Loader entry you want to modify. There may be different identifiers for various configurations, such as regular boot and Safe Mode. Select the one you wish to change.

5. Modify the Description: To change the operating system name, use the following command format: "BCDEDIT /set {identifier} Description" followed by the new description within quotation marks. For example: `BCDEDIT /set {identifier} Description "My Custom OS Name"`

6. Apply Changes: Close the Command Prompt, and the changes will take effect. The next time you boot up your PC, you'll see the new name you've set in the Boot Menu.

7. Conclusion: This tutorial offers a user-friendly and effective way to personalize your Windows 10 Boot Menu, making it easier to navigate and uniquely tailored to your preferences.

Awesome video. Hey can you advise how to bring back the blue screen to choose between say win7/win11. I had it before but had to format the win7 partition and set that up last so have a black dos screen with the options now. thanks

hello sir,
i have dual boot windows 10 and Phoenix OS.
The thing is that when i switch on my PC i get both options in a black color page.
it doesn't appear like for you in blue color.
I mean the blue color page with the options looks nice,
so is there any method to switch from the black screen to the blue one?
Thanks
the system i have now is something like this image above.
I want to change it to the blue type.
Please let me know how to do it.
