talk to the well heeled youth to unlock the gold saucer in ul'dah after completing the envoy quest in the main story. talk to the itinerant moogle in the city states to obtain the mogpendium book to start gaining goetia tomes from gates and alexander. alexander raid unlocks in idyllshire after beating 3.0 msq and talk to slowfix. alexander burden of the father is the fastest fight to farm tomes in between the gates in the gold saucer.

I just do gold saucer stuff, I get MGP and the tomes at the same time and while waiting for the gates I can watch videos or play another game, very comfy

For the slice is right, I think you need to collect all the bonus mgp too to get the 10 tomes. I've been only getting 5 tomes per completion from that fate so far when I clear it.

I swear I was gonna skip the event this time around, BUT NOPE. First time seeing level 70 treasure maps in the list. Another 3, 000 mogtomes to farm at least to overstock for my greed supply, heh.
