I Never left the 90s.... I live in that decade every day.

"She holds the hand that holds her down
She will rise above, uh uh"

Those lyrics always strike me in such a way!

Pearl Jam ruled the 90s! Daughter was brought to the world thirty years ago by PJ and it never gets old!

My Daughter turns 18 today, I can finally meet her. I've listened to this song every single day since it was released. Kept me strong inside so that I can meet this day with my heart open and my eyes filled with tears of joy.

I was 6 or 7. My dad calls me to his room. He says “Hey...listen to this song by this group.” It’s this song...it’s Pearl Jam...it forever changed my life.

Throughout my years, throughout my travels in life, I met so many good people that had the misfortune of living out this song in so many ways. So much pain everywhere. 90's were both beautiful and dark.

This song played for the first time on the radio right after my dad passed. His spirit talked to me for the last time 🥹

Happy 57th Edward Louis Severson III; December 23, 1964.. Your work with Temple of the Dog is still some of your best work. Many more Eddie Jerome Vedder..

This song reminds me of growing up and everything about life was easier. the 90's were the best. the lyrics in this song are great. I like listening to old music like this. it reminds of happier times, and when my life was not so difficult. music is poetry. great music is able to make the listener feel something. you feel connected to the song, because it's that good. this is one of those songs that you listen to and you remember how life used to be. glad I got to listen to this music when I was younger. hope people today discover these songs and share the same appreciation for them

Pearl Jam at their peak, right at the height of the 90's alt/grunge/whatever era. This is easily their best album and I'll give all you one reason why; Dave Abbruzzese. Unfortunately unless you're John Bonham or Neil Peart drummers never get the credit they deserve.

I wish the people we danced with then were all in my lounge right now. Thanks to You all. What a blast.

Thank you Eddie Veder for bringing to light in song the profound effect learning disabilities have on a child, much progress has been made in the last 10 years, more needs to be accomplished.
