I'm part native American. I've met a lot of natives from different tribes who look like the Olmec heads. Of course not all natives look alike. But many have broad noses and thick lips but don't resemble Africans at all. Many Native Americans all the way down from South America can tan very darkly. The biggest problem is the African diaspora caused by the Atlantic slave trade. The slave was stripped of its tribal origin due to slavery by both European and African(feuding tribes) slave traders.
