I was lucky enough to see the Cathedral in June of 1997, during a 6 week tour around much of France. It was one of the high points of my trip. It is truly an incredible structure and so worth seeing and spending lots of time exploring.

The persistence of the people is noteworthy. They rebuilt their cathedral twice, and the second replacement is a grand piece of architecture. Lesser humans would have given up.

This cathedral is positively magnificent...breathtaking, beautiful. One would need to invent brand new superlatives to describe it. The design and building
of Strasbourg is the 15th century equivalent of the Apollo moonshot program of the 20th century imo.
