Title: How to unlock protected Excel sheets without the password- Method 2

Description:

Method 1 was worked for most of the people but for very people have faced some issue.

In order to overcome the challenges, I've created a new macro to unlock excel sheet. You can find the link at the top of the description.

It's a very simple excel sheet where you can select the Excel workbook to break the excel sheet password by an open dialog box.

After you have selected the excel workbook, the macro will run at the back end to crack excel sheet password.

Once the macro is executed completely, you can save the Excel workbook and close it.

When you open the excel workbook again, you can see that workbook is completely unprotected.

Please let me know if you have any difficulties in using this tool.

Good day to you and thank you for the tutorial. I removed protection from all the sheets in my workbook, but the workbook itself is password-protected, any idea how to remove this password?

it says it cannot create active x component cant create object and gives a run time error 429 (in my case it seems that some of the excel cells are locked not the full sheet)

Doesn't work. Getting a run time error '429'. ActiveX component can't create object. Running on a iMac 2019 and latest version of Excel - Microsoft 365.

Hello! I've run the file on a excel workbook that is sheet protected, but it appears the process is taking quite some time. It's been 20mins now and im looking at the locked sheet in a "Not responding" state. Will the macro time out? Shall I wait longer? Let me know, thanks!
