As a regular match goer it’s great to see this and hear about the protest on Sunday. I’ll be there ❤

Well said. It's become an utter joke trying to get tickets. Being a member is basically meaningless

£264 for a family of 4 to watch Rashford giving 3% effort is fckin mind blowing.

People need to boycott games en masse as occurred in 2010 in Germany at Schalke and Dortmund when price hikes took them to almost double in one season.

I live in the US in NY and earn a good wage. Coming home for xmas and wanted to go to the Newcastle game and I feel priced out of going, which i s a shame considering how infrequently I am home and get to go to a game. Upper tier ticket for $150-200 is scandalous

It's a disgrace the amount of hospitality/executive seats available and the price they charge. I'm sure alot of the tickets that get sold back to the club don't resell for the original cost and end up as hospitality/executive seats.

Its all over the country the local fans are vwing priced out and tourists and casual fans are coming in more.... which is why the atmosphere across the staidums is atrocious

I went to 2 games in September one ticket was 45 pound for twenty but once you pay the booking fee more like 55 and the other ticket for the Tottenham game was 110 pound each. Felt terrible and especially the toenham game 110 quid to watch that shit

Cost of living crisis isn't affecting the record profits of big energy companies and supermarkets like tesco. Who aren't struggling. Not like it's affecting the working class.

I’ve been having this same conversation recently about the cost of other forms of entertainment such as live music. I think something the organisers or in this case the club needs to take in to account when setting ticket prices is how long does a fan earning minimum wage have to work to afford to go to the game and what do they get in return? So in this case your fan has to work nearly six hours in exchange for 90 minutes of entertainment. This is before spending anything else such as cost of transport, a beer maybe something to eat. Add that in and your matchday experience costs an entire days labour. With this in mind it’s no surprise that the average age of fans is getting higher and higher each season. The short sightedness of these decisions is staggering to me, putting short term profits over the long term health of the club and fan base. As pointed out in the video, the fact that ticket revenue makes up such a small proportion of top flight teams revenue shows this up for exactly what it is greed. The protests are a start but until the clubs are willing to sit down with the fan base nothing will change. Perhaps this is where an independent football regulator as proposed by the previous government could actually make an impact and give fans a voice via their MP(feel dirty agreeing with anything a Tory has to say)

Going to my first game in 7 years this week. Just can't justify £50+ for every game.

Good content. In the UK football fans are being milked. While clubs and players rake in millions. German football treat their fans with respect. Until we get government intervention to force similar protection for our clubs and our fans, football is being lost to the greedy barstools who have stolen our game.

If you want a successful campaign you need a coordinated, well organised, media savvy campaign to raise awareness in order to affect change. You need a narrative of unfairness and greed that mainstream media can use and then you can apply pressure to the relevant people. Only if they feel they are losing a very public PR battle that will negatively impact their brand will they concede for the sake of their public image.

What have I missed? I thought our prices were pretty reasonable, or is this fear of change with the new stadium?
