Welcome back to The Ecclestone Grand Prix Collection!

In this exciting episode, we take you through another captivating chapter of racing history with a walkaround of some truly legendary machines. The focus shifts to a selection of iconic cars that have made an indelible mark on the sport.

Among the highlights are the ex-Works Maserati 250F, one of the most beautiful and competitive machines from the 1950s, and the mighty 16-cylinder Mark II BRM, a true engineering marvel of its time. We also feature the legendary Vanwall VW10, the car that played a key role in Stirling Moss’s multiple Grand Prix victories during the 1958 Formula 1 season. The VW10 was not only instrumental in securing the Constructors' Championship for Vanwall in 1958 but also made history as the first British car to win a Formula 1 race and claim the Championship title. This achievement heralded a transformative era for British-based teams in Formula 1, setting the stage for decades of success.

Also featured are a number of other important cars from the early days of Grand Prix and Formula 1 racing, including a Talbot-Lago T26C and a Maserati 4CLT that competed alongside each other in the very first Formula 1 World Championship race, the 1950 British Grand Prix.

This episode delves into the unparalleled depth of Bernie Ecclestone’s collection, showcasing the historical significance and craftsmanship behind these groundbreaking cars. With a focus on their stories and milestones, it’s a unique opportunity to appreciate how these machines shaped the trajectory of Formula 1.

Enjoy!

My God how Bernie has lived. The collection is one thing, but he was there. His memories are more valuable than the cars. Almost. The cars? They are so much more than mechanical history. It's been said before far more eloquently than I could. What a treat to be allowed into the warehouse of dreams. Thanks!

Bernie, your story of buying Connaught is legendary, and so inspirational. I have read and read so much about it. Your first team, an F1 driver, a manager, then Brabham owner then FOCA! People in F1 today and following it have NO idea how much they owe to Bernie Ecclestone who made F1 what it is today. It all began with a dream at Connaught: Bernie and his driver Lewis-Evans, who dared to put a dream into reality.

The interview with Bernie is the best part, he's such a trickster. Would love to see him and Jordan, have a fireside chat down memory lane. Hopefully there is loads of unheard stories about Bernie to come .

I don't think its possible to live a more full life than Bernie Ecclestone. These are the stories he can tell on Camera, imagine the confidential stuff and characters he's had to deal with. That is a man built harder than tungsten. Incredible

This collection is honestly hard to fathom. I think the sale price, no matter how high, will be undervalued. It’s a borderline priceless collection of cars.

No person on the planet is more worthy of finding new homes for these historic heroes of motorsport than Tom Hartley Jnr.
I’m hoping you can do an in-depth video of each car at some point but above an in-depth lengthy talk with Bernie before such amazing stories and memories are lost forever.
If his life is not worthy of a movie I don’t know what is.
Thanks for another quality video!

I've spent a reasonable amount of time around historic racecars and seen some amazing collections but that is the best collection of significant vehicles I've ever seen.

Not just a secondhand car dealer, Tom Hartley Jr comes across as very knowledgeable regarding formula 1 cars. This has been an excellent series of classic cars, well done Tom.
