Carol, thank you for calling this an eight pointed star block and not a LeMoyne Star. Now, I don't quibble about too many things (and I never quibble with you), but when I see these passed off as a LeMoyne Star, I comment. This methodology makes an eight pointed star very approachable.

You have several excellent videos on the LeMoyne Star and Lone Star. As you well know, mastering a LeMoyne Star the traditional way with perfect results consistently is the ultimate quilty-skill builder. It took me untold hours (to include building a calculator for all of the components). I call it my LeMoyne Star Odyssey. But it forced me to learn every technical aspect because I made every @#%$%^$^& error you could make. I ended up with a hybridized method taking the best practices from the generous sharing of many instructors.

Could you show me how to put a 6 pint diamond star together. I made one in 1992 when I started quilting but at 72 I don't know how I did it. They are interlocking stars with 3 points of the same fabric. My brains says no way!
