I can barely look at the German news these days it just makes me so fucking angry. Thank you for not letting us off the hook.

Many years ago i was in an austrian "radical" left student group. Non-hierachical, anti-racist, feminist (...) all the good stuff.
In a plenum we discussed the upcoming anniversary of Israel's establishment and some wanted to organise a (pro-israel) event. (i was pretty new to this group)
I told them that i thought it's strange to praise any nation whatsoever and given it's lead by a right wing fundamentalist, even more strange. What followed was getting debated down by two people while the rest remained silent - they weren't super harsh or anything but the undertone of me just being a bit of an uneducated idiot that (unkowingly) enables anti-semitism was pretty clear.

After that was over, members told me - in secret - that they kinda agree, but that that's something i just can not say or debate.
This should have shaken me a lot more than it did back then.

there's a red grafitti writing "viva palestina" arround the block. It's crossed with a black graffiti with an anarchy symbol being painted with the same black spray right next to it. It makes me cringe everytime I drive pass it.

What’s becoming so obvious to people now is that colonialism has never ended just rebranded with different terms. From Natives indigenous people being called “savages” in the old days to now being called “terrorist” by neocolonialists who are neoliberals, neoconservatives, and zionist.

1) Savages is now “terrorist”

2) Civilizing them is now “bringing them democracy”

3) Colonies is now “territories”

We can all see Israel is a colonial project being supported by former and current colonials such as U.S, UK, and others who also control territories of indigenous natives in Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, Hawaii, and many more.

The liberation of Palestine will definitely give RISE to many indigenous natives around the world to free themselves from western domination. This is the underlying ripple effect that the U.S government and its puppet allies don’t want to happen

The left here in germany is really divided on this topic but a lot of especially young people are waking up and are supporting the Palestinian fight for freedom

Criticizing Israel is an absolute taboo here in Germany, and it is immediately equated with antisemitism.
Now with the war-crimes being obvious the taboo has sometimes lifted ever so slightly..
