I spent a summer with my grandmother in Lakeland and I remember watching this on Saturday afternoons. When I went back home all I could really remember was the slow utterance of "Channel 44's Creature Feature". I would just say it out of the blue and it wasn't long before my friends picked up on it. We would say it at random whenever the mood struck. It's amazing what you remember from your childhood with no reference or context.

One of my favorite shows on Saturday. That's when TV was real.

As a 53 yr old Floridian This brought back some fond Saturday afternoons. Eating popcorn and drinking Red Kool aid as my mom went about her day. Stopping by the boob tube …. That’s what our parent s called a T.V. Back then. …or idiot box …..to see if I wanted to go outside at 2;30 in the afternoon ….in. the Florida summer sun. Nah, The creature of the Black Lagoon is on. Good times

I watched him growing up in the 80s, EVERY Saturday afternoon with my dad, on channel 4 in Orlando! The nostalgia watching this now has put a lump in my throat.

DPB was a classic. I remember watching him religiously on both Friday nights and Saturday afternoon. What a great memory. I still enjoy hearing the WTOG call letter jingle on You Tube. One of life's simple pleasures.

The memories. I remember sitting at my grandparent's house on Saturdays and my granddad and I would watch the Saturday Afternoon horror movie of the day together. R.I.P. Paul Bearer and my grandparents.

I remember his show coming on after the cartoons on Saturday. But that's when your mother gave you the option of cleaning up your room or going outside and play. At that time I didn't know that he was local I thought the whole world was watching him, much respect, much love, Thanks for the Memories, he will be missed but not forgotten.
