My first time seeing a winch-launch on a glider-field, I asked a nearby pilot "is it safe?". He replied: "It's perfectly safe, provided you never forget it's bloody dangerous!". I used this phrase often in a 30 year career teaching private and later commercial pilots in light aircraft, as it perfectly encapsulates the reality of taking liberties in any aspect of aviation.

Man I first thought this was at my club. This is what I was doing about 2 weeks ago in an ASK21 too. Been doing this for 10 years (still doesn't get old). But your footage is simply out of this world!!! I love the sharp turn at the end and how your camera goes onto to film the sky. FANTASTIC !!

Sehr nice, sehr schön zu sehen der Winkel im Zeitverlauf, insbesondere auch kurz vor dem Ausklinken mit stärkerem „Durchhang“ wegen Windkräften und reduzierter Last. 16:9 wäre als iPad-Nutzer natürlich noch schön. LG, V.
