Not a Catholic, but yes, that is absolutely his job. The justification for the existence of an organized Christian church in the first place is that God instituted it personally to act on His behalf. While it's therefore likewise not my place to say "about time", I'll say it is *gratifying* to see the Savior's teaching of "no man can serve two masters" being enforced. Too many lie to themselves about their own faith, when in reality the State is their god, and they continue to grow impatient and wonder when their church will "get with it" and fall in line with their friends.
