This is an incredibly tough watch, but hearing him talk about it in his podcast so candidly is quite refreshing. Regal will always be one of my favourite wrestlers of all time.

Regal was struggling here, really struggling with presumably substance abuse yet still wrestled which is quite incredible.

You can see clearly from the spot were Regal takes the head and horribly hits the ropes and feeding/spotting awfully for the hip toss, zero momentum or height. You can see Goldust catches on quickly that Regal is in no shape to work so he takes the wrist. It's pretty much Goldust working with himself in this one.

Truly not making light of his situation, it must be said though how incredible it is that Mr Regal was able to still put on a decent match despite being in this unfortunate state

Shame on Vince and the WWE staff to send a man out in this condition. Workers trust each other with their bodies, one wrong move or mis-step and you’re talking serious injury, paralysis or death. And they let Regal go out and have a match in this condition while he could barely string a sentence together in his promo? You can’t tell me they didn’t know. Shame on Regal, but shame on them all.

So glad Regal got himself sobered up. It's painful watching someone whose work you admired be in this kind of state. WWE officials should never let this kind of thing occur, especially with the health of their workers at stake.

It's awful to see Regal so messed up. Still a better match than anything today though.
