Hi i am trying to implement this and i am not getting any results when i use "if($q != ""){" but when i use "if($q != " "){" with a space in the quotes it prints all the users. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Brother. I am trying to remove the white space or ignore the white space between the column value on a where statement.

For example a user may search for "B35 TYE" or "B35TYE" postcodes, so i need to match on the where statement whether the DB has values stores with or without spaces.

$jobs->where('CollPCode', 'LIKE', '%'.$colpostcode.'%');
I want to show these both in suggestion list "B35 TYE" and "B35TYE". Any suggestion? Thanks

Is this method good for production? Also, in this video, you searched the user model/table.. is there a way to search the user table and searc another table too? for example, search user table or post table for LIKE 'q'.

one of the important things which is required in search result and missing here is search result. if there is over 100s of data in single search query so it's not efficient to display all of them in single page. we need to paginate it with multiple pages but here i cant find something paginated search result.

For example : “b” will not show all users that has “b” in their names and emails.. The user should enter for example “bob” in search field to get only “bob” result with name and email. Thanks :)

this is not advance search... it is only instance search... Advance search like 1 million records in few second.. do not confuse people.
