The best style advice my Aunt gave me over 50 years ago was: before buying anything new, make sure it will go with AT LEAST 5 other items you currently own - how right she was! I know so many women who ‘never have anything to wear’ and have thousands of pounds of credit card debt because they follow fashion trends that only last a season. I have clothes over 40 years old in my wardrobes because as Marie-Anne says, I bought classics in different colours that can be mixed and matched all this time later - and I’m always guessed at being in my early 40’s (I’m 66). Bravo, Marie-Anne. x

Your videos must work miracles. My friend from a French speaking country looked at me the other day and said “You look very chic, like a French woman.” I wasn’t wearing anything new, just somehow put myself together differently. Honestly, I think it may have been having a more confident attitude. So thank you for helping me bring out the French lady hiding inside me. 😊

Decluttering and organizing my wardrobe might be the best advice I've gotten from Marie-Anne so far. It's completely simplified my life and I actually enjoy putting together my outfit for the day - for the first time in my adult life!

Marie Anne, I’m 70 and have been following you the last two years . Today I got a very nice compliment. Someone ( a stranger ) told me that I looked “ very French chic “ ♥️♥️♥️👍thank you .

Marie-Anne, oh Marie-Anne, do you know what this video seems to me? This is like receiving a very small jewelry box but filled with only real jewels. Not even a single rhinestone, not even a small piece in stainless steel. Everything is just gold, diamonds, silver and sapphires!
What a small but adorable treasure you have just gifted us with!
No doubt that less is more and quality over quantity.
Merci beaucoup!❤
Ps, sharing this right away!

At age 69, I believe in starting from the inside. I start every morning with 10 minutes of exercise, and go to yoga class twice a week. I don’t have a car, but go around on a pedal bike. When the weather is warm, I swim in the sea (sometimes with jellyfish, ouch). You are so right about posture; I would add flexibility. And a SMILE will light up your face like no amount of makeup. I am neither a season nor a geometrical shape. But I do use a full length mirror (my landlady on a recent visit suggested that I had no use for it, miaow). Then I take a photo and send it to my partner who lives 1, 500 kms from me. He scores me out of 10 😂

When I recently had physical therapy after an accident, the therapist corrected my posture, saying we can get away with bad posture when young but when older it causes many health problems. Like you, I have to consciously remember to put my chest out and shoulders back. She also said 'tech neck' is epidemic now from people looking down at their phones and laptops. It causes headaches and nerve damage in the neck.

I have good posture, because as I was growing up my mother would say to me, "Straighten up and fly right." So I did. I am grateful to her for that.

Excellent point about posture. It’s so often overlooked. Something I heard once that I found helpful is that, instead of pulling your shoulders back, which can feel awkward, think instead about raising your chest up, which looks more natural.

As for body shape, you make it easy for me since we are the same shape. I'm tall too and can relate to your experiences growing up. Something I have noticed: Sometimes an outfit looks good on me in the mirror but not as good in photos that others have taken of me. I have to take photos of myself from different angles to get the full scope of how an outfit really looks on me. For some reason, it's easier for me to spot what can be improved upon when I see myself in photos vs. the mirror.

Yet another informative video.. sent to a few friends. I agree totally about posture. I constantly tell my three granddaughters to put their shoulders back and stand straight. Correct posture makes such a difference in one’s appearance. Thank you Marie-Anne. 💕

Marie-Anne, I think you look your very best in this video. You suit dark brown hair and more makeup, plus you look great in a black jacket. Your other black jacket with the black soft ruffles is spectacular and timeless. The pale pink coat you are holding at the beginning of this video is a 10!

I absolutely love this video including the capsule wardrobe advice. The only missing element is a spray of a lovely signature scent. I am a firm believer in a spritz of scent putting a spring in my step and giving me confidence. Not too much and not too strong but enough so that I feel special, feminine and put together.

I have loved your programs for many years, since you began in your closet, asking us, do you like this sweater with this skirt or that skirt. I look forward to new programs and a continuing connection with you. You are a valuable part of my life!❤

I loved the simplicity of your capsule wardrobe, it includes the color combinations and items I'm looking for also. I find now days many items I check out are sold out in my size. I enjoyed seeing your car trip thru the city streets car to visit your hairdresser. (that was different!).

Thank you very much Marianne for bringing us such wonderful courses. This kind of content is very rare on the internet today, where too many people are just trying to sell things and encourage excessive consumption. While I do enjoy buying things, I don't want to buy things blindly. On a daily basis, I often discuss with my friends how women can look better, and your program helps women to better understand themselves. Thank you again!

Oh, Marie-Anne! As I was growing up, I was considered tall, especially next to my little petite mama. She would tap me firmly between my shoulder blades and whisper, "Stand up straight." 🥰

I always wanted to be taller! Just heard from my sister with Ling legs that she always wanted to shorter legs. 😂 The key is to learn what we LOVE and appreciate in our bodies, and love you Marie-Ann for helping us learn how to emphasis what we have in a flattering, happy way! ❤

Bonjour Marie-Anne,
January is a good month to re-kick-start my chic. Things are quiet after the holiday season and it's easy to slip into not caring. Thank you for your always encouraging information. Posture is something I continually work on as I have a rounded back inherited from my father's side of the family. Good posture makes such a difference.
