I was a kid in a third world country and casio f91w was all my parents could afford for me. My father wore a Ricoh mechanical watch but after seeing my casio he was so at awe by the light weight, simplicity and lot of info on the watch that he would borrow it from me from time to time till he bought another one for himself.

AE1200 is probs the first watch i saw where i thought it was worth buying. Its cool. The resin glass is very scratchy so be careful with it if u have it lol

These are all cool, but the Casio GShock DW-5600UE spanks all of these. It has tons of features, it will never accidentally break, and is only ~$50. The most expensive GShock Squares are only barely better and cost 3x-20x as much.

My first Casio was a TS-1200, the temperature watch. I got it for Christmas, 1987 I believe. The temperature function was such a cool feature. It was similar in shape to the F-91W. When I got back into watches, I bought the F-91W because it reminded me of my old Casio.
