But what you mentioned there is so important. Ludwig's stretched image still looks unique. Uniqueness is such an important part of the thumbnail. If you tell a story but you use colors and text that doesn't make you stand out in the feed it will still hurt click through rate nonetheless don't you think? Is uniqueness/color palette/branding truly something that doesn't matter?

This is one of my favorite topics discussed lately on CS. I think so many try to recreate Mr beast or Ryan Trahan style thumbnails, when in reality it’s about the click and it’s about audience expectations. Imagine clicking on a Mr beast style thumbnail and it’s Ludwig explaining Twitch drama. Does this meet the expectation of that thumbnail? Probably not
