IGPSport Good Value Bike GPS Computer

I've been using the IGPSport for the past three weeks now and i wanted to share a few things about it and guide you with some info after getting to grips with it.

Firstly, this thing is pretty basic. There is no climb pro (this is available on other models), theres no touch screen, but it is colour and it does do the things that it says it will pretty well.

Yes its not an amazing all singing all dancing unit, but do most people need that. I used this out in Mallorca and i used it for racing up Sa Calobra as well as doing all my navigation while out there. It's £120

Useful review thanks. (For transparency you should mention at the beginning you have been given the unit to review to avoid any accusations of this being a shill video).

Have an older igpsport50e model. 5 years use. Battery still holds perfectly. Amazing unit for the price.

Hi Max, thanks for this review. I pulled the trigger on this a couple of months ago and what a find. Many thanks and HNY 👌

Simplicity always wins! - great review thanks. Just lost my IGPSport 630 coming down a decent at L'etape Ireland, so got this one. Although it was rather refreshing not having stats to pour over on the ride. Just me and the PAIN! lol

A bonus is it works with the Garmin mounts I already have.

Been using the BCS100 base model from Igpsport for nearly a year now. It's basic, but gives me all i need. But seriously, it can be bought for less than 20 quid. Fabulous value....

I have the IGPSPORT200. It's first rate. Navigation, b&w, programmable screens. It is the same as my Garmin ...for £40. So, I am not stressed about losing it.

You did an excellent job with the review. Answered the questions I had. Yes, The bike computers are over rated to function where the focus is on super training and flashy modes to impress your buddies. Most of these riders seem to be caught up in the gadgetry and less focused on the riding.

I just want a small unit for touring that will give me good navigation, speed, mileage and when to make the turns. It's a companion to my cell phone, especially when wiifii disappears, { not meant to replace the cell phone) I will still have a map.

I have been looking at all the gps units believe this igs300 will fill the bill. They have the 630's and now the igs800 but just a lot more bells and whistles I don't need t a much higher cost.

Thanks for the great video.

Thanks for the review, Max!

Some questions, if I may:

~ Do you miss the Climb function of the Garmin (I think the 630 has it though)?
~ If you're on a pure data screen, will Nav pop up approaching a turn or diversion?
~ How many screens can you have, and can you have them auto scroll like Garmin?
~ I assume to get the ride onto Garmin Connect, you have to drop a GPX file via a computer?

I have a Garmin 130 Plus for everyday, but looking for something when exploring rather than a bread-crumb trail.

Cheers!

Thank you sir. I wonder what will happen if you go off the route?

I've got the same unit and I love it. I would say that set up and map input are not intuitive. It's taken me some frustrating hours to get used to it.

Sounds a good piece of kit. Do you know if fits integrated aerobars?

I recently got a Garmin 830 but this seems like a good option if my Garmin breaks down... Although I do like Garmin Connect.

Is there any part of the company that I can buy to measure the watts? I haven’t pedals to count watts

How would you compare this to the Magene C606? I'm looking to get a new GPS computer as my old Garmin 820 is not keeping up anymore.

Does this have a summit freeride feature telling about climbs ahead?

Does it connect to a radar and give you an audio signal if cars approach?

How its works with mtb trails and roads?

Seems very complicated to me. Talking of how easy it is...I need 1...One feature...navigation

Wahoo Bolt v2 - 67 grams. Surely that would meet your needs and with a more mature ecosystem?
