Colonel Holt is the most credible UFO observer ever. Every time he tells the story, it’s exactly the same. The kind of recall he demonstrates in the field- he can remember how everything used to be and he references old landmarks- damn if it doesn’t get to me

I was honoured to have been with Chuck on this visit to the woods. He then came back to my house for dinner. The next day, the Sunday we were then at the Bentwaters Cold War museum for him to be interviewed. The man is an absolute gentleman, and I'm proud to call him my friend. There is a follow up book to 'The Halt Perspective' by Col. Halt and John Hanson, being worked on as I write this, and Chuck is back in the UK on 1st September for the 'Outer Limits' magazine conference in Hull.

This is a great video for anyone interested in the case. It gives the story much more clarity.

I'm 68 years old I witnessed the events. Colonel Holt is a stand up guy. There's probably no way I can convince I don't really care. You decide for yourself. This is the greatest event interplanetary history. Ripley should believe it. Want you?

He hasn't changed much. You wouldn't think he was nearly 80.

Must be very weird for him to come back all these years later.

I wonder if people have thought of the possibility that Col Halt was given permission to release a certain amount of information, given the number of civilians who witnessed this event (including British Police)?Without doubt, something not from this world landed on a winters night in December 1980

Hes not lying.
Not even a little. You don't make it that far in ur career unless youre the best of the best and trustworthy.

Imagine someone trying to tell you you were seeing a stationary lighthouse?

This incident was featured on one of the episodes of Unsolved Mysteries. It's a really interesting occurrence, and the reenactment/dramatization done by the Unsolved Mysteries team was very well done and first rate as they always did.

There's never been any doubt the Colonel's recount of this spectacular incident is 100% accurate and truthful and zero chance had anything to do with that ridiculous lighthouse theory!

Was the farmer ever asked about what he saw that night? I'd love to know his story.

I have a theory that these red balls are like disposable drones, that disintegrates gradually (the melting, the explosion). Think of it as a controlled soapbubble which functions as a probe/camera. Some of the witnesses in belgium saw a red light coming off the middle of the triangular shaped craft, moving about on ground level much like Halt describes, and then going back to its original position.

I wonder if there is still UFO sightings in that area or did it stop after the base was no longer there?

I see no efforts to tell stories he seems quite sure this happened.

Has anyone ever heard from the people that were in that farm house during the incident??

This is a distinguished military veteran with no track record of psychiatric health problems at nearly 80 years old without much time left on earth to gain much from lying. He has zero history of lying or deceiving to profit or gain public attention, and here he is in old age sharp as a tack, remembering vivid and precise details in flow like it was yesterday. The official explanation was "They mistook a nearby rotating ocean lighthouse beam for a UFO event". Does THIS sound to you like a man dumb or confused enough to mistake the searchlight from a lighthouse, for a squadron of flying saucers landing, deactivating nukes, and shooting beams of light to the ground?!?! If this isn't a credible witness, I don't know what is.
