How do Stars Work?

Показать описание
Stars are some of the most abundant and impressive things in the universe. Each galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars, and there are trillions of galaxies out there. That equates to a whole lot of stars- some estimate 300 sextillion. But what makes stars so common, and why are they the way that they are? How do they form, and how do they live and die? Well, the answers to these questions lie within one of the most fascinating processes in astronomy, and today we're going to be examining that process, from their chaotic births to their cataclysmic deaths!

Having a supernova in the sky for a year would be so awesome. Hopefully it happens in my time.

Interesting fact: Gold is created only in two ways: When two Neutron Stars collide, and less than 1/1000 the amount is created by Supernovae.

My goal is to one day have a man talk about me with the same passion that this guy talks about stars.

I once asked a science teacher about the law of conservation of matter and I specifically said “So why doesn’t it apply to black holes” and she just gave me a blank stare for two seconds and then said “I dunno”

Brown dwarfs may be considered "failed" stars by some, but they literally have liquid iron rain, and that seems like a pretty big success to me.

Your space content never fails to interest me :) I’m curious about how long your newer content takes to script, research, edit ect.

Thanks for this informative and well-produced video. It really sums up stars in a new way even for those of us who thought they'd heard all the popular science descriptions of stars.

Best channel ever. I've watched every episode about 20x each. I also love how you are not hogging the screen showing yourself like some others who think they are cool good looking. Takes away from the learning experience. Any thank you and pls keep producing more videos

For many years, I thought that gold is formed naturally on earth. But turned out I was wrong until I found out it is actually produced during the dying process of stars. The gold on earth is actually originated from a previous dead star with its remaining nebula.

The death of a star feels oddly melancholic.

There are very, very few content creators or videos that make me wonder how anyone could dislike something. This channel is absolutely one of them.

Stars have only one purpose. When you complete a level, you are awarded with a number of stars, often between 1-10 depending on the difficulty of the level. The stars help you to advance on the global leaderboard, a list of the players with most stars. You can also unlock new icons when you reach certain milestones, for example 1000 stars collected. Currently, the player with most stars is Cool Dash with a bit over 100, 000 stars.
