This reminds me sir one video had gone viral before covid of an RTO officer impounding a car in Kerala. The driver had a licence and the papers of the car were in the car. It was his friends car that he was just using for the day. The officer said apart from family members if you lend your car to any third person then it is "illegal taxi" and proceeded to impound the car.
I am no lawyer but I wanted to know from a lawyer if I am right and also we need to make a video because in Kerala they are doing this. If other states police see thsi video they will believe it and impound cars that are lend.
1. For it to be a taxi money has to be exchanged. So if there is no money exchanged or they cannot prove it then it is not a taxi so forget being illegal.
2. How will traffic police determine that the person is related. Are we supposed to roam with documents that prove our relation to the defendant.
3. What constitutes relatives, Brother in law. So if the police will match the surname in your Drivers licence with the surname of the car owner in the registration then Brother in law will have different Surname. Married sister will have different surname.
What about second cousins? third cousins.
4. Last and final I don't think there is such an act al all.
So please shed some light and make a video please. Thank you

That is the reason we pay Insurance. As long as the Insurance is paid there is nothing to worry about even if a court case is filed!!

One of my uncle suffer because he gave his vehicle to somebody and unfortunately an accident took place and he has to suffer, I was shocked at how the person riding the vehicle getaway

Follow 3 simple rules
1. Always keep your vehicle insured.
2. Never give your car to someone you dont know well
3. Make sure the driver of your car has a license.

Then a common family has to buy 5 cars just because an autowala was being heroic on the roads and dashed him and because of locals and police support he won the case.. bring some amendments in the law then have dashcams for proof..
