IMHO the mix is so bass heavy that the compressors are struggling.

They both sound good, although the SSL has that punch and snare splat that wins it for me.

Six or Big six, have the necessary stuffs for a good G Mix Bus.... And I worked on 4048 E et G since a long time....

I agree with the others... more low-end punch in the hardware. I'm listening thru Genelec monitors so I can definitely hear a difference. That said... the plugin is really not that bad. For me... I am leaning towards plugins for compression/saturation. Stick with hardware EQ. Save the $ to buy synths!!
