I Task the boys with building some workbenches and ask the question Is A CNC Actually Faster Than A Person? They race to the finish and you'll probably be surprised who lost....

As someone who has made the 2x4 vs 2x6 mistake too many times: I stopped caring that 3d models looked like wood. In the designs 2x4 = green, 2x6= blue, 4x4 = red etc. definitely not a pro, just an amateur that can’t afford my mistakes

Just read through every single comment....dang.
John, congrats on the baby. God bless you and your family.
As for the video, Lou seems to be improving already in the past couple videos. Can't wait to see what he does in a year from now. Chris seems like he could use a leader in the shop.
Keep up the great work Team Malecki!

Congrats to you & Sara on your new arrival. Lou may be slower but he at least cared if there were problems.

This is definitely a video where John misses Sam and Jordan. And I’m only about halfway through

Chris needs to be watched. Congratulations on the little one but I think you gained a child in your workshop as well.

I have so many questions….. like why use maple plywood if you are covering it with laminate? Why do the inner torsion box pieces need holes in them? Why would you not make sure you set your tolerances right on the CNC? Like, I’m easily as amateur as these guys, but there are some seriously rookie moves going on in this one.

Great video, and well done lads, cracking effort keeping the ship afloat whilst Big J has some baby time… gotta say though, you boys don’t know how good you have it, using the phrase “hand cut” every time you don’t use a CNC machine is an absolute luxury 😂… I’m a site carpenter over in the uk, and I would definitely say that using a top end table saw and track saw does not count as “hand cutting”… poor little one man band workin outta van over hear would kill for these luxuries…. Hand cutting to me isn’t even using my circular saw, it’s when I sometimes have to get “ol’ rusty” out and physically do the back and forth motion to complete a cut… not often I’ll admit, most things are achievable with a mitre saw/ circular saw or jigsaw, but now and then ol rusty does make an appearance… not bustin balls either, just sittin here all jealous of that hella set up you got. Keep it up, but maybe tone it down when you’re making out how hard life can be without a CNC… got me weepin into my beer in the bath 😂

Would it be possible to get Sam and Jordan back?

The best part is Lou taking the time to build quality and help other guys.
The worst part is Chris' not-giving-a-darn about his quality or the people he works with.

The beauty part is the baby, godspeed with the family.

We were promised a "Traditional build" vs CNC, but that didn't come through in the video. The ONLY thing the CNC did was cut the torsion frame... not even the whole box. And it didn't even do that well since Chris had to re-do it all. So after "I don't care" Chris got a bunch of help and parts from Lou, he turned it into a different competition than what we were promised at the beginning. And then in the end... both tables were useless and had to be redesigned.

Poor John, he has so much work ahead of him with these two. At least he has a beautiful new baby to come home to.

Honestly I think it's impressive to be this imcompetent while having access to a $1m shop. A true lesson that money does not buy skill.

Jordan is looking Jacked! I also don't remember him having so many tattoos.

Congratulations to you and your wife on your new baby. Fun to watch the difference between a CNC build and a hand built one and how they both went about it and the mistakes they made and where honest about them that’s how you learn is from your mistakes

No offense to Chris but Lou built a quality product and Chris....well...can you say high school wood shop fail? Lou for the win.

Good job Lou, had some pride in your work.
Bragging to the boss you finished first with a crappy build and no attention to detail isn't exactly smart Chris.
Beginner for the win.
